about

With EP number 3 finished, The Goodbye Theory is really pumped for everyone to hear their latest, titled "Where Do We Go From Here?" The EP starts with the Weezer-tinged "Harvard Square Girl". "Office Romance" goes right into straight up Pop-Punk, with the perils of dipping your pen in the company ink. Up next is "Whistleblower" with politically charged lyrics, and straight ahead rhythms, which dig into No Code-era Pearl Jam. While "Chimes" slows the tempo, the intensity is still there in this song about trying to help someone through a dark time by finding something to believe in. It kicks back up with "One Big Mess" a previously unreleased song from Rob & Devine's past, centering around a band's eventual demise. Up next is the “I can’t do nothing right” hopelessness of “Just Got Tired”, and it all ends on the boot-stomping, mud-slinging “Swamp Stomp”. The band rounded out the EP with a cover of Bouncing Souls “Hopeless Romantic” , which can be found exclusively on their Reverb Nation page." Overall it shows growth from their previous EP's, while still staying in the roots of where they've come from.
